Younger me looked at leadership as being in charge such as a class president, drum major, section leader, whoever is directly in charge. As I have grown older, my vision has matured to notice the silent leaders. Leadership can be mentoring at the right moments, doing more than what is expected of you, and showing integrity on a daily basis. I want to teach my students this same mindset.
